ITS EXCITING YAY, I am finally launching MY NEW WEB SITE.
My old one was not user or mobile friendly
So, this is my first blog… I am an artist who is passionate about art in all it’s forms. Always encouraged to be a child of the universe, to see the moon & stars, the colours & the beauty of nature, being creative by drawing, painting, photography or making beautiful things. Yoga, music, the beach, bonsai, numerology are all part of my life.
Painting in oil, acrylic, pastel & pencil, each is exciting, I am always learning, I love to experiment in all mediums. Pet Portraits commissions have been a rewarding business for me. My greatest satisfaction is to see the joy & emotion when clients first view their finished portrait, sometimes the pet is no longer with them & I know my paintings capture a forever memory.
Little Lottie
Grand Champion Painting & First prize for pastel, Pine Rivers Show
My portrait of “Little Lottie” who later passed away from cancer won Grand Champion Painting & First prize for pastel at the Pine Rivers Show, this was a great endorsement & recognition of my art work.
Lottie’s portrait now takes pride of place in the family home. She was not a pet, she was a member of their family, such a sentimental painting is priceless to them.
Because of the amazing work done by the Australian Animal Cancer Foundation, I like to donate & give back to a great cause researching & helping save our furry friends.
Pets teach us about unconditional love, loyalty and the value of play

We sold our Brissy home, my studio had to be packed away in boxes, no more the haven for friends to come over for art days or classes, my happy placewhere I pumped up the music, lost complete track of time & painted, my best furry friend Jess my dog by my side, usually snoring.
When I am in my studio,
I forget who I am,
Where life has taken me,
I find the joy of painting,
takes me to my happy place,
A place where
I want to stay & play forever.

New beginnings…
We moved to the Sunshine Coast rather than waiting to retire, we decided to enjoy the simpler things of life now. Walks on the beach with Jess, swims in the ocean, watching the waves, the sunrises & the sunsets. Life is amazing like the ever-changing tides.
Finally, my new studio is set up, art materials are unpacked after eight months of renovating. Jess is beside me snoring & slimmer from all her walks along the beach. My paints are out, I have an empty canvas & I am ready, excited to start painting again after so long
I feel like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon. New wings & ready to fly.
Exciting times with new ideas & opportunities so many images in my head that need to be painted. Art is therapy for my soul.
